Spring 2018, deep in the Bois de Boulogne: Elements Jazz set up among the rose gardens of Bagatelle, turning dinner service into an evening 'at the sound of jazz.' Across six May-and-June nights, the band held a relaxed seasonal run at this storied 16th-arrondissement pavilion, billed in the moment as the 'Sunny Stride Trio.' The core lineup paired Arnaud Quercy on piano, Elliot Langlois on double bass and Romain Courty on drums with the voice of Émilie Forbin.

Bobby Hebb's 'Sunny' and Sarah Vaughan's 'Lullaby of Birdland' drifted over the terrace as couples lingered over late dinners. On the May 10th and opening-weekend dates, guest double bassist Julien Droz stepped in alongside Quercy and Forbin, lending the swing and ballad sets an easy, conversational lift through the soft Parisian spring.
