Tucked into the Théâtre Édouard VII just steps from the Opéra Garnier, FrouFrou became a Monday-night ritual for Elements Jazz through the autumn of 2018. Across six documented dates from late October into November, the trio core of pianist Arnaud Quercy and his "brother in arms" Elliot Langlois on double bass traded the vocal chair between Émilie Forbin and Andreïa Gómez, threading swing, bossa and latin jazz through a packed, candlelit dining room.
The set leaned on Cole Porter elegance, with Émilie singing "Night and Day" and "Love For Sale," alongside smooth standards like "Satin Doll" and "Petite Fleur" to crown the kitchen's menu. No guest stars sat in here, this was a tight, recurring residency built on the band's own people, in one of the 9th arrondissement's most theatrical rooms.
